CIAN ERC Industrial Workshop

CIAN conducted it 1st annual Industrial Workshop on Jan. 27, 2009.This meeting was conducted at the Doubletree Hotel San Jose in San Jose, CA, running concurrently with Photonics West 2009 - a major optics and photonics annual trade show.The meeting ran from 8:30-4:00 pm and provided for overviews and outlines of the various CIAN research programs, education programs, and diversity initiatives. The meeting also featured a several talks from industry. Lastly, we also had a lively student poster session wherein students could interact with Center faculty as well as industrial representatives. This meeting also gave a chance for the SLC and its participants to socialize at a student dinner hosted later in the evening hosted by Dr. Meredith Whitaker.
