Travel Grants

The Center for Integrated Access Networks (CIAN) awards travel grants for graduate, undergraduate, and postdoctoral researchers who are:

1. Presenting research at academic conferences

2. Attending a CIAN meeting

3. Visiting a CIAN partner school to initiative, develop, or continue work on a collaborative project

Please submit all correspondence concerning the Travel Grant Program to Dr. Meredith K. Kupinski

Submission Deadlines:

  • Applications are continually being reviewed; submissions are accepted at any time.

Travel must be completed within 1 year of the date of application.

Eligibility:

  • A position (President, Vice President, or Treasurer) in CIAN's Student Leadership Council (SLC) at your host university.
  • CIAN students and postdocs are eligible for 1 Travel Grant per year. If it has been 1 year since your last award, please apply again.

Selection Criteria:

Travel Grant evaluators especially appreciate and give due weight to thoughtful, focused student statements. The student statement should be understandable to graduate students from any CIAN Research Thrust.

Range of support:

Travel grants include full airfare and hotel for all CIAN students presenting at IONS

The committee will award up to $500.00 per student, even though the cost of attending the conference may exceed that amount.

Notification of Awards:

The process of award determination generally takes one month.
