My research is focused on the development and fabrication of efficient high speed sol-gel/EO polymer waveguide optical switching fabrics. Other areas of interest include the development of novel devices based on the multimode interference effect and characterization and linearization of electro-optic modulators.

Device fabrication based on novel polymer materials and Magneto-Optic activity. We work in parallel towards the design of very compact and effective optical isolators based on the large magneto-optic response of polymers such as polythiophene and magnetic nanoparticle composites, as well as the design of ultra high sensitive sensor systems.

My research focuses on fundamental light-matter interactions in quantum confined III-V semiconductor nanostructures. The main system we investigate is quantum dots embedded in photonic crystal slab nanocavities. We also have ongoing studies in one-dimensional quantum well quasicrystal structures. The motivation for these devices is in the area of next-generation telecommunications applications, such as efficient single photon sources, on-chip nanolasers, and high speed optical switching.

My research is on the growth and characterization of Carbon Nanotubes. I characterize the morphology, structures and properties of the nanotubes at different growth conditions on different substrates.

I work on organic photorefractive polymers for 3D holographic displays. The displays are updatable, and when written the image will last for hours until erased. Organic polymers are useful as they are cheap, easy to fabricate, and can be made to arbitrarily large size. These displays have applications in military C&C, medical imaging, and industrial design.

My research involves all-optical regeneration of fiber optic communication signals. Specifically I have worked on clock recovery, phase preserving amplitude regeneration, and phase regeneration.

I am currently a Ph.D. student in mathematics at the University of Arizona. I am working on completing a Master's Thesis on Topological Quantum Field Theory in 2-Dimensions. I am also researching Math Education; specifically undergraduate education and the retention of Science Math Engineering and Technology (STEM) majors.

Our research focuses on new all-optical 3R regeneration techniques. We are particularly interested in the use of semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOA) as optical balanced detectors thanks to a new property that we are currently investigating : Photonic Balancing.

My research is on fabrication of glass-polymer hybrid integrated optical devices. I currently work on fabrication of low loss and low Vpi electro-optic modulators.

A semiconductor physics experimentalist with an emphasis on III-V materials and quantum-confined structures, photonics, ultrafast phenomena and quantum optics.

I am working on traffic and control aggregation mechanisms and node architectures offering larger portion of bandwidth of the core network as well as seamless interconnections with heterogeneous platforms like wireless, LAN, optical and mobile networks to the end-users.

My research is focused on the development and fabrication of EO polymer electro-optic modulators on SOI substrate.
