Science Small Talk Series

Students contribute to CIAN's Education mission by being mentors, role models, and teachers to the next generation of scientists and engineers.

At UA students presented a seminar series entitled Science Small Talk for CIAN's summer guest researchers (e.g. REU and RET programs). The students gathered broad, historic, foundational knowledge related to their research project (Chapter 1 content for their dissertations) and this series offered them the opportunity to present such information to inquisitive newcomers.

The atmosphere is low-risk for asking questions, rewards intellectual curiosity, and was extremely well-reviewed by both the audience and presenters.

The full agenda can be viewed here.
